Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little bit more about me!  My wife Sara and I were both born and raised in Fond du Lac and met during high school while working at Mill’s Fleet Farm.  We have been married for 15 years, currently live in the Town of Oakfield and are active members in Holy Family Catholic Community. We enjoy donating time to local non-profit organizations that give back to our community. In our free time we love traveling and spending time with family and friends, but equally enjoy quiet time together at home.

I am an avid outdoorsman who likes to hunt, spend time in nature, and any activity that involves sitting in the tractor seat including tilling, mowing, landscaping, or snow-blowing. I also enjoy working on vehicles and drumming along to favorite songs on my drum set.

The call to serve my community started at a very young age.  Growing up on Morris Street, I used to watch the Sheriff squads drive by my house on their way to the gas pumps at the highway department.  Deputies would sometimes flash their lights or blip their siren at my brother and I as we ran to the edge of the yard waving to them.  At that age, I didn’t know exactly what being a Sheriff’s Deputy was all about but I knew I wanted to be one someday!

Fast forward to when I was 16 years old and met a Fond du Lac Police officer running radar across the street from my house.  He oversaw the local Police Explorer Post and encouraged me to join and learn more about the profession.  My desire to pursue a career in law enforcement was solidified in the very first ride-along I had with that officer.

My career with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office began in 1998 when Sheriff Jim Gilmore hired me as a Deputy Reserve.  Since then, I have worked and trained hard to gain the knowledge and experience necessary to successfully lead the Sheriff's Office as detailed in the sections below. You can also follow my career progression on the "Through the Ranks"  page.

I truly feel I am the most qualified candidate for the position, and it would be my honor and privilege to be elected your next Sheriff.  Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me, and I would very much appreciate your vote on August 14th.
